Aisha Jamila Hinds is a popular American actor. She is known for her role in television series The Shield, and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has proven her acting versatility by performing outstandingly in TV series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. First noticed in 2005 for the character of Anna that was on Assault on Precinct 13 However, it was her performance of feminist activist Fannie Louis Hamer in the documentary film All the Way, which brought her the recognition she earned as an actress. Hind was also praised for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman in WGN America's dramatic period drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 9-1-1 is renewed for its third season by 20th Century Fox Television. Recently Hind wrapped filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is scheduled for release by mid-2019.
