Aisha Jamila Hinds is a popular American actor. She is known for her role in television series The Shield, and True Blood. Since her 2003 debut she has proven her acting versatility by performing outstandingly in TV series such as 9-1-1 Detroit 1--8-7, and Under the Dome. First noticed in 2005 for the character of Anna that was on Assault on Precinct 13 However, it was her performance of feminist activist Fannie Louis Hamer in the documentary film All the Way, which brought her the recognition she earned as an actress. Hind was also praised for her portrayal of Harriet Tubman in WGN America's dramatic period drama series Underground. She currently stars on the procedural drama series 9-1-1 in the leading role of firefighter/paramedic Henrietta Hen Wilson. 9-1-1 is renewed for its third season by 20th Century Fox Television. Recently Hind wrapped filming for the Hollywood movie Godzilla: King of the Monsters which is scheduled for release by mid-2019. Her father Krishnaraj, who was an Army Scientist who passed away on the 18th of March, 2017, and her mother Vrinda have both been housewives. Her older brother is Aditya Rai who works as an engineer in the merchant navy. His brother wrote and produced Dil Ka Rishta, along with his mom. Bachchan was a student at Arya Vidya Mandir High School located in Mumbai which is where her family moved to. After completing her intermediate studies in Jai Hind College, she was accepted into D.G. Ruparel College Matunga is where she scored a mark of 90 % in H.S.C. exams. She spent five years during her teenage years studying classical dance and music. Zoology was one of her subjects. Bachchan was a student at architecture in 1994 when she was named Miss World. This title was a boost to her career in the world of modeling. Her contract was lucrative with Vogue magazine and PepsiCo Inc. as well as a L'Oreal Paris spokesperson contract in 2003. The year 1997 was the time she had two critically acclaimed parts: Iruvar and Aur pyaar hojaia. The success of Bachchan's New Bollywood was boosted by the fact that both of these films are a departure from standard Bollywood model.
