Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel Sofer (born December 2 1968) is an American actress who is known for her appearances in daytime television, occasional guest appearances, and made-for-television movies. Sofer received an Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her portrayal in the role of Lois Cerullo of the soap show General Hospital. She played Quinn Fuller on the CBS soap drama The Bold and the Beautiful from 2013 to 2022.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia (California) Sofer was the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) who is a psychologist, and Martin Sofer, who is a Orthodox Rabbi.
She moved with her dad as well as her brother David to Teaneck, New Jersey, in 1970. But, by the time Sofer was 5 years old, they remained in Western Pennsylvania. They lived in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, where her father led Beth Samuels Jewish Center. Later, she attended the Frisch School in Paramus, New Jersey, which is an co-educational Modern Orthodox Jewish high-school. Sofer was born in North Bergen, New Jersey. Her father was rabbi of Temple Beth El. After her graduation from North Bergen High School she went to Montclair State College.
Career
Daytime television
Lois Marie Cerullo was the first Lois Marie Cerullo that Sofer played on General Hospital. In 1993, she worked as a band manager. Her first role on television was in the role of Rocky McKenzie, a daytime soap drama about Loving (1988-91).
